CALIFORNIA CAPITAL AIR SHOW ANNOUNCES HISTORIC GATHERING OF P-38 LIGHTNINGS

(Business Wire) The California Capital Air Show announced that it will host every flying Lockheed P-38 Lightning remaining in the United States, as well as the pilots, and ground crew who flew and cared for these rare aircraft.

The 167 Airlift Wing will host an Open House and Air Show this weekend with the USAF Thunderbirds and US Army Golden Knights as the headline acts. The show will also feature a USN Hornet demo and A-10 East.
HORSEMEN HEADING TO VIRGINIA BEACH

The Horsemen will bring the vintage vibe to NAS Oceana Sept. 17-19 with
two F8F Bearcats and a F4U Corsair instead of their traditional P-51
Mustangs. The Horsemen will be joining the USN Blue Angels, the F-22
demo and Viper West at the Navy's master jet base.
PLANE MAKES AMAZING LANDING ON A FLORIDA HIGHWAY

A 1957 Aero Commander made an emergency landing on a Florida highway during morning rush hour Tuesday after one of its engines failed. The two men on board managed to fly below power lines and over a vehicle before veering off into the grass.
Amazingly no one was hurt!

For its first air show in more than 20 years, the crowds at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease left 70,000 fans happy despite temperatures soaring into the 90s over the weekend. The show boasted both the USN Blue Angels and the Brazilian Smoke Squadron, plus top civilian performers like ASB.tv's Mike Goulian.

WWII HELLDIVER TO LAND IN PENSACOLA

A rare WWII Helldiver raised from the muddy depths of a San Diego resevoir last week will call the National Naval Aviation Museum home after sitting underwater since 1945. Museum Director, Capt. Bob Rasmussen (USN-Ret) will be on Warbird Radio live Thursday to chat about the recovery.

THUNDER OVER THE BOARDWALK RAMPS UP FOR POPULAR MIDWEEK SHOW

The Brazilian Smoke Squadron and USAF Thunderbirds added a splash of color to the Atlantic City Airport in preparation for the annual air show, Thunder Over the Boardwalk, in New Jersey on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will also be flying over the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum on Tuesday.
